Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti, in association with its Vashi, Nerul East and Nerul West units and the Gurudevgiri Committee, will celebrate the Thiru Jayanti of Sree Narayana Gurudev with a series of spiritual and cultural programmes at Gurudevgiri, Nerul, on Friday, August 28.
The celebrations will commence with Guru Puja at 6.45 am, followed by Ganapati Homam, Usha Puja and recitation of Guru Bhagavatam. The programme will also feature artistic performances, a cultural gathering and distribution of merit awards, followed by a traditional Chataya Sadya.
A special attraction of the celebrations will be a Sopanam music performance by renowned Sopana singer Njeralath Hari Govindan and his team, based on the works and teachings of Sree Narayana Gurudev. Artistic presentations by committee members and children will also be held as part of the celebrations.
Film actor Nirmal Palazhi will be the chief guest, while film producer Murali Mattummal will be the special guest.
The cultural conference will be presided over by M. I. Damodaran. Committee Chairman N. Mohandas, Vice Chairman S. Chandrababu, General Secretary O. K. Prasad, Zonal Secretary N. S. Rajan, Gurudevgiri Committee Convener V. K. Pavithran, Women’s Section Zonal Convener Manju Premkumar, Nirmal Palazhi and Murali Mattummal will address the gathering.
VP Pradeep Kumar will welcome the gathering and K. Sunil Kumar will propose the vote of thanks. Radhakrishna Panicker, who is also the secretary of the committee’s cultural wing, will coordinate the programmes.
The organisers have invited devotees and members of the community to participate in the celebrations and seek the blessings of Sree Narayana Gurudev.
