A five-hour Malayalam language workshop organised by the Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam (AKS) Malayalam Mission at the Mission Asia School premises emerged as a unique and engaging creative experience. The session was led by noted writer Kanakkoor R. Suresh Kumar.

The programme began with a welcome song, followed by an introductory address by AKS President Jacob Mathews. Malayalam Mission Ahmedabad Chief Coordinator Manoj Perambra introduced the resource person. FEGMA President Dr. K.M. Ramachandran, Malayalam Mission Gujarat Regional Secretary C.V. Narayanan, and Regional Expert Committee member Jayaraman Kadampatt also addressed the gathering.

As part of the workshop, participants were divided into groups and given short stories to read and present. The interactive sessions covered poetry, travelogues, and essays, encouraging active participation and creative expression.

A writing test was also conducted, where many participants attempted writing for the first time. The resource person noted that their confidence and writing skills were promising. Around 50 Malayalam Mission teachers attended the workshop.
