The Malayalam Mission Bandra–Dahisar Region has elected its new office bearers for the next three-year term at a general body meeting held on Sunday, March 29th, at St. John’s High School, Siddharth Nagar, Borivali East.
The meeting witnessed active participation from teachers, parents, and study centre committee members representing various Malayalam Mission centres across the Bandra to Dahisar belt. The session commenced with a welcome address by Regional Convener Pradeep Kumar.

The function was presided over by Regional President Reena Santosh, while Chapter President R.D. Harikumar attended as an observer representing the Malayalam Mission Mumbai Chapter.
During the meeting, Regional Convener Pradeep Kumar presented a detailed report outlining the activities and achievements of the region over the past years. The report was followed by an engaging discussion, with contributions from Girija Vallabhan, Dr. Gracy Varghese, Ashwani Kumar, Beena Jacob, Sajitha Harshan, Vidya Radhakrishnan, Babu Krishnan, Vandana Sathyan, Vijeesh Ponnan, Smitha Abu, Saritha Sathish, Deepa Aneesh, Sindhu Pramod, Deepti Rajeev, Sheetal Sreeraman, and others.
The highlight of the meeting was the election of the new regional committee. The newly elected office bearers are:
Vandana Sathyan – President
Sheetal Sreeraman – Secretary
Babu Krishnan – Treasurer



Notably, the newly elected Secretary, Sheetal Sreeraman, represents a promising young generation of Malayalam Mission leadership in Mumbai. Born and brought up in the city, she completed her Malayalam studies through Sahar Malayali Samajam’s Malayalam Mission classes and successfully earned the Senior Higher Diploma “Neelakurinji.” She currently serves as a teacher at the same study centre and is also an active member of the Sahar Malayali Samajam Executive Committee. Known for her vibrant involvement in artistic and social initiatives, she is widely regarded as a dynamic contributor to the community.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by newly elected President Vandana Sathyan.
