Hill Garden Ayyappa Bhakta Sangam (HGABS), Thane, distributed free notebooks and study materials to the students of the Zilla Parishad Marathi School at Sasupada, Maljipada, Vasai Taluka, Palghar district, as part of its ongoing educational support initiatives.
The programme was attended by HGABS Secretary Sashikumar Nair and volunteer Milind Joshi, who interacted with the students, teachers, and school staff.
This was the first time that HGABS extended support to the school, located in the remote tribal hamlet of Sasupada, around 20 kilometres from Thane city. The study materials were distributed to assist students from economically weaker families by providing them with essential learning resources for the new academic year.

Speaking on the occasion, the Headmistress of the school expressed her heartfelt gratitude to HGABS for its thoughtful initiative. She noted that this was the first time any organisation had distributed study materials to the students of the school. She also highlighted the urgent need for repairs to the school’s toilet facilities, which are currently unusable. As a result, the students are compelled to use the nearby Anganwadi premises, causing considerable inconvenience and affecting their daily routine.
The HGABS team appreciated the dedication of the teaching staff and assured them that the organisation would continue to support educational initiatives for underprivileged children whenever possible.
Refreshments were also distributed to all the students by the HGABS volunteers.
HGABS expressed its sincere gratitude to its well-wishers, donors, and supporters for their continued encouragement and assistance. The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking more educational and community welfare initiatives in the years ahead.
