Vanitha Club Launched in Umargaon

Umargaon: A new chapter in women’s empowerment and community engagement began with the inauguration of the Vanitha Club under the leadership of Kerala Association, Umargaon. The club was formally launched at a function attended by prominent community leaders and members.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr. R. K. Nair, President of Kerala Association, Umargaon. The traditional lamp-lighting ceremony marked the beginning of the event. Other dignitaries present included Gebi Devarajan, Rajani Menon, Monisha Sunil, Hari Menon, Hema Mohandas, Valsala Nair, Valsa Anto, and several members of the association.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized the importance of providing a platform for women to come together, share ideas, and actively participate in cultural, social, and community-development activities. The newly formed Vanitha Club aims to organize various programmes focused on women’s welfare, empowerment, skill development, and social awareness.

The office-bearers expressed confidence that the club would play a significant role in strengthening community bonds and encouraging greater participation of women in the association’s activities.
