Thane, 29 July 2026: Education has the power to transform lives, and for the fourth consecutive year, Hill Garden Ayyappa Bhakta Sangam (HGABS), Thane, has reaffirmed its commitment to this belief by sponsoring the education of three deserving students from economically disadvantaged families.
As part of its ongoing educational assistance programme, HGABS volunteers handed over a scholarship cheque worth ₹40,340 to the management of St. Joseph’s English High School, Thane. The amount covers the complete annual school fees of three academically bright students residing in a nearby slum area, ensuring that financial challenges do not stand in the way of their dreams.
The initiative follows an earlier educational support programme held on 25 June 2026, during which HGABS distributed free notebooks to all students of the school. It was during this event that the school management and parents approached the Sangam with a heartfelt request to help three exceptionally talented students whose families were struggling to meet their educational expenses.
Moved by the request, HGABS volunteers carried out a detailed assessment of the families’ socio-economic conditions to understand their circumstances. After confirming the genuine need for assistance, the Sangam decided to sponsor the students’ entire annual school fees, enabling them to continue their education without financial burden.
Over the past four years, this initiative has become an integral part of HGABS’s social outreach activities, reflecting the organisation’s unwavering commitment to supporting education and creating opportunities for deserving children. By investing in young minds, the Sangam continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing economic hardship.
