The prestigious Raagalaya–Kerala in Mumbai Award Night will be held on Saturday, April 11th 2026 from 6:30 pm onwards at the Mysore Association Hall, Matunga.
The highlight of this year’s award function will be the presentation of the Raagalaya Lifetime Achievement Award to late Salil Chowdhury, the legendary music director who enriched Indian cinema with timeless compositions across multiple languages, including Malayalam. The award will be received by his son, noted music director Sanjoy Chowdhury.
In addition, the Kerala in Mumbai KIM Excellence Awards will be conferred on a distinguished group of achievers from diverse fields. The awardees include educationist Bijoy Oommen; renowned businessman and social activists M.K. Navas and Dr. Sasikala Panicker, eminent dancer Nisha Gilbert, senior journalist N. Sreejith, Bureau Chief of Mathrubhumi Mumbai and social activist Rakhee Sunil.

The event will be attended by several prominent personalities from Mumbai’s cultural and social spheres.
Following the award ceremony, the audience will be treated to a grand musical evening featuring evergreen compositions of Salil Chowdhury. Performances will be rendered by Idea Star Singer fame Preeti Warrier, Flowers Music Season 5 winner Shivshankar, along with other noted singers from Mumbai, accompanied by a live orchestra.
