Renowned scholar and dance historian Indumati Raman will launch her latest book, Dance Theatre by Thanjavur Maratha Rajas, an in-depth exploration of the rich legacy of dance and performance traditions patronised by the Thanjavur Maratha rulers.
The book launch will be marked by an engaging conversation with noted scholars Krishna Subramanian and Subramanian Chidambaran, offering insights into the historical, cultural, and artistic significance of the period.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, at 6.30 pm at P. L. Deshpande Mini Auditorium, Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, in the presence of distinguished cultural personalities including Shanta Gokhale, Pt. Vidyadhar Vyas, and Vithal C. Nadkarni.
