The Bombay Keraleeya Samajam will hold a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Soorya Krishnamurthy, the renowned artist and founder of the Soorya Stage and Film Society, Thiruvananthapuram.
Krishnamurthy, who made significant contributions to the promotion of Kerala’s art and culture for several decades, was the driving force behind the internationally acclaimed Soorya Dance and Music Festival. His contributions to the fields of dance, music and theatre earned him widespread recognition, and his artistic initiatives were well known and appreciated by the Mumbai Malayalee community.
The condolence meeting, organised by the Bombay Keraleeya Samajam, will be held at Kerala Bhavanam, Matunga on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 5 pm.
Members of the Malayalee community, art and cultural organisations, and all those who knew and admired Soorya Krishnamurthy are requested to attend the meeting and pay their respects to the departed artist.
