The closing ceremony of the ‘Know Your Guru’ History Study Programme, organized by the Women’s Wing and Cultural Wing of the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti, was held with great participation and enthusiasm.
Ms. Ashwathi Dorje, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Maharashtra, was the chief guest at the event. The function was presided over by Committee President M. I. Damodaran.
In the competitions held as part of the programme, the Mira Road, Nerul East and Bhandup units secured the first, second and third prizes respectively.
In the two-batch category, C. B. D. Belapur, Mira Road, Nerul East, Airoli and Nerul West units won the first, second and third positions.
Trophies, certificates and prizes were distributed to all winners.
The Guru Matoshree 2024–25 Award, instituted by the Mandira Samiti to honour outstanding women activists, was presented to Suma Prakash and V. Jaya Raghunath.
In the speech competition held along with the study sessions, Asha Soman, Jayalakshmi Suresh, and Neethu P won the first, second, and third places respectively.
A Question-and-Answer Competition was also conducted as part of the event.
Committee Chairman N. Mohandas, General Secretary O. K. Prasad, Zonal Secretary Maya Sahajan, Women’s Section Convener Suma Prakash, Secretary Vijaya Raghunath, Mahila Venture Company Director Vatsa Chandran and other dignitaries were present and spoke on the occasion.
