In this edition of Mumbaiyile Malayali Prathibhakal, we are proud to present Thomas Mathew, a distinguished corporate leader and former Managing Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Over more than three decades with LIC, he took on increasingly senior responsibilities, serving in various roles including Senior Divisional Manager, Zonal Manager, Executive Director and eventually Managing Director. He played an important role across several areas of LIC, including marketing, investment, information technology and international operations.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Thomas Mathew has remained closely connected to his Malayali roots and cultural heritage. The article highlights his passion for Malayalam literature, Carnatic and light music, and travelling. He has also been an active speaker at several forums and cultural gatherings.
