The Malayali community in Panvel is mourning the passing of Paul K. Lagnatius (64), a long-time resident of Mumbai and Panvel and an active member of the Kerala Cultural Society (KCS), Panvel and St. George Forane Church.
Paul K. Lagnatius, a native of Kurianparambil, Elanjikulam, Mannuthy, Thrissur, had been residing in Mumbai and Panvel for the past four decades. He passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 3 p.m.
The Kerala Cultural Society, Panvel, will bring the mortal remains to his residence at 501, Plot No. E-25, Pratham Darshan, Sector 6, New Panvel, on Monday, August 10, at 12:30 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the residence, followed by an opportunity for relatives, friends and members of the community to pay their last respects.
According to the family, the mortal remains will be taken to Thrissur by air on Tuesday morning, August 11. The funeral rites will be held in the afternoon at Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Nadathara, Thrissur.
The Kerala Cultural Society, Panvel, expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal repose of the departed soul.
