Vasai: Prominent Malayali social worker Amaradasan C. Nair has been appointed as the District Co-Convenor of the BJP South Indian Cell, Vasai–Virar District, Maharashtra.
A native of Angadippuram in Kerala’s Malappuram district, Amaradasan is the son of the late Appukuttan Nair and Leelavathi Amma of Kulavil House, near the famous Thirumandhamkunnu Temple. He currently resides at Capricorn Society, Vasai East.
Well known for his contributions to Kerala Ayurveda, Amaradasan has played a significant role in promoting Ayurvedic treatment in Maharashtra. As the Director of Keraleeya Aryavaidya Oushadasala Pvt. Ltd., he was instrumental in establishing a 15-bed Ayurveda hospital in Malad West, Mumbai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he also led the distribution of free Ayurvedic immunity booster medicines to thousands of people across Maharashtra.
A dedicated community leader, Amaradasan has served as the Chairman of Capricorn CHS Society and is currently a Managing Committee Member. He is actively associated with Bassein Kerala Samajam, Vasai East Ayyappa Samajam, Kerala Samajam, Vasai Nair Samajam, and serves as the Vice President of Pratheeksha Trust.
Recognising his long-standing service in Ayurveda and social welfare, the BJP South Indian Cell has entrusted him with the responsibility of District Co-Convenor for Vasai–Virar District, considering his extensive organizational experience and commitment to public service.
