As part of its ongoing social service initiatives, NSS Nashik organized a School Bag Kit Distribution Drive on 5 August 2026 at NMC School No. 57, Nashik Road.
The programme was graced by Mr. Sudheesh Nair, an internationally acclaimed deaf cricketer who has proudly represented India in international cricket, as the Guest of Honour. He was also felicitated during the function in recognition of his outstanding achievements and for being an inspiration to the younger generation. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sudheesh Nair encouraged the students to pursue their dreams with determination, reminding them that physical challenges are never a barrier to success.
The distribution drive benefited students from Classes 1 to 8 and members of the school’s supporting staff. Each beneficiary received a thoughtfully prepared kit containing a durable school bag, notebooks, a project journal, stationery items (pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and rulers in pouches), an umbrella and a cap, helping them begin the academic year with confidence.
The initiative reflects NSS Nashik’s continued commitment to supporting education and uplifting underprivileged students through meaningful community service activities.
The programme was attended by office-bearers and members of NSS Nashik, school authorities, teachers and well-wishers, making the event a memorable and inspiring occasion for all.
