Mollywood Times, the Malayalam coming-of-age comedy drama directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak and written by Ramu Sunil, has officially released in theatres today, June 5, 2026. The film stars Naslen in the lead role as Vineeth Madhavan, alongside an ensemble cast including Sharaf U Dheen, Sangeeth Prathap, Gopika Ramesh, Roshan Shanavas, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Basil Joseph in a special role as Superstar Swaroop.
The movie follows a youthful and entertaining narrative, blending comedy, drama, and relatable life experiences. Supporting performances from veterans such as Jagadish, Prasanth Alexander, Balachandran Chullikkad, Rajesh Madhavan, and others add depth to the story. The project was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony at Anchumana Devi Temple in Kochi in July 2025, attended by several prominent figures from the Malayalam film industry.
Music for the film has been composed by Jakes Bejoy, with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar and Adhri Joe. The soundtrack features songs such as “Apna Friday Aayega” and “GOAT Song.” Originally planned for a late-2025 release, the film was later postponed and finally arrived in cinemas on June 5, 2026. Distribution is handled by Central Pictures in Kerala, AP International across India, and Home Screen Entertainment for international markets.
