Renowned classical dancer and cultural activist Lata Surendra was honoured with a special recognition from Kalabharati, presented by its Founder Chairperson Smt. Usha Bajpai, at a function held at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, as part of the International Women’s Day 2026 celebrations.

The honour was presented by Vanati Srinivasan, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and a prominent leader of the BJP Mahila wing. The recognition celebrates Lata Surendra’s valuable contributions to Indian classical dance and cultural activities.
Expressing her happiness on the occasion, Lata Surendra described the moment as a memorable Women’s Day recognition and said she felt privileged to receive the honour in the presence of distinguished women leaders who have been actively working for women’s empowerment.
The event brought together several cultural personalities and social leaders to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in various fields.
