Bhasmanchal, a stage play depicting the real-life struggles and experiences of single mothers in Mumbai society, is set to be translated into Malayalam. The play, which was originally produced in Hindi, conveys a strong and meaningful social message for the younger generation.

The story, dialogues and direction of the play are by Mumbai-based Malayali Mohan Nair. The production was prepared under the banner of Maharani Foundation after nearly fourteen months of dedicated preparation.

The play features a large ensemble cast of 72 actors, making it a significant theatrical production. Following its Hindi presentation, the organisers are now planning to stage the play in Malayalam and Marathi as well.

According to the organisers, the decision to bring the play to Malayalam was made in response to requests from various Malayali organisations in Mumbai.
