The All India Malayali Association (AIMA) Madhya Pradesh Chapter celebrated its annual conference and cultural night in a grand and vibrant manner, bringing together members of the Malayali community from across the state. The event reflected the spirit of unity, cultural pride and collective progress among the Malayalis of Madhya Pradesh.
The programme was inaugurated by AIMA National Vice President Shri Upendra Menon. Among those present on the occasion were National Additional General Secretary Jayaraj Nair, National Cultural Secretary C. Ashokan, MP Chapter President Adv. Jolly Kurian, NEC Member Jolly Ilanthur, Chapter Secretary Anil Nair, Treasurer Anil Nair P.G., Women’s Wing Convener Dr. Beena Kurian and Youth Wing Convener Smita Acharya. AIMA MP Vice Chairman James Varghese and Kaladharan Panchena also participated in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Upendra Menon appreciated the consistent efforts of the MP Chapter in strengthening community bonding and promoting cultural values. Other speakers highlighted the importance of collective leadership, transparency and active participation in taking the organisation to greater heights. They also noted that AIMA continues to work for the welfare of Malayalis across 25 states and two Union Territories.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of several association heads and social leaders from Madhya Pradesh in recognition of their dedicated service to society. AIMA also congratulated the Malayali Charity Welfare Society for its commendable service to the poor and the sick. Founder and Chief Coordinator Shri M.K. Mathew and President Shri P.P. Varghese were honoured on the occasion.
The cultural night featured colourful performances by the Malabar Narmakala Group led by noted film and serial artist Ideva Raffi. Traditional Kerala art forms, music and dance performances by talented artists and youth received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
The programmes were efficiently coordinated by Programme Coordinator Sunil C.P. with the support of Linu Varghese and a team of volunteers. Anupama Varghese and Dr. Anju Hussain jointly coordinated the cultural segments.
The event, titled “Sangamam 2026,” concluded on a grand note, reinforcing the spirit of unity and cultural pride among Malayalis living in Madhya Pradesh. The success of the programme reflects the vibrant future envisioned by the AIMA MP Chapter.
