Nair Welfare Association, Malad, will celebrate Onam on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Bombay Public School, Marve Road, Malad West, from 10.30 a.m. onwards.
The celebration will showcase the rich traditions and festive spirit of Kerala, with cultural programmes including Vadamvali, Maveli Varavelppu, music and dance, traditional games followed by an Onam Sadya.
A special highlight of the programme will be a presentation by the ladies of the association depicting the traditional story of King Mahabali’s annual return to Kerala to meet his beloved people. The presentation will recreate the warmth and joy with which Mahabali is traditionally welcomed during Onam.
Members and families are invited to join the celebrations and be part of this colourful festival of togetherness, tradition and Kerala culture. The programme will begin sharply at 10.30 a.m.
