Mumbai: A traditional Chenda Arangettam, organised by Shri Anil Poduval, was held at the Holy Angels School Auditorium, bringing together music lovers and members of the Malayali community in a celebration of Kerala’s rich percussion heritage.
A highlight of the programme was the felicitation of Mr. Oommen David, who was honoured during the event in recognition of his contributions and involvement in the cultural sphere. The felicitation was a special moment of appreciation, attended by cultural enthusiasts, well-wishers and members of the community.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of Padma Shri Mattannur Sankaran Kutty, the internationally acclaimed chenda maestro. He was warmly welcomed and felicitated at the function, adding further significance to the programme. His presence was a source of inspiration for the young chenda performers who presented their Arangettam.
