Reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and educational support, Hill Garden Ayyappa Bhakta Sangam (HGABS), Thane distributed study materials and notebooks to more than 160 underprivileged students of St. Joseph English School, Kapurbawdi, Thane, on June 25.

The beneficiaries included students from Junior KG to Class X studying at the school, which has been serving children from economically weaker sections of society for over 25 years. Managed by a Malayali management, the school is located in one of Thane’s most underprivileged slum areas, where the narrow access lane makes it inaccessible even to autorickshaws.

This year marks the fifth consecutive year that Hill Garden Ayyappa Bhakta Sangam has undertaken this educational assistance programme at the school, reflecting the Sangam’s continued dedication to supporting deserving students and promoting education among underprivileged children.

Addressing the gathering, HGABS office-bearers Sashikumar Nair and Ramesh Gopal encouraged the students to pursue their education with sincerity, determination, and self-confidence. They also conveyed their best wishes for the students’ academic success and assured them of the Sangam’s continued support for such meaningful initiatives.

The school management expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Hill Garden Ayyappa Bhakta Sangam for its consistent support over the past five years, describing the initiative as a valuable contribution towards the education and future of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The programme once again highlighted HGABS’s commitment to community welfare and its belief that education remains one of the most effective means of empowering the next generation.
