Renowned social and cultural organisation Udayan is set to present “Sanjh Ke Rang – Ram Krishna Ke Sang,” an enchanting evening of devotion and classical dance, at the Hall of Harmony, Nehru Centre, Worli, on Saturday, May 30, from 6.00 pm onwards.
The programme will feature a captivating Odissi dance presentation by veteran exponent Guru Nivedita Mukherjee along with her talented disciples. The repertoire will include specially curated compositions dedicated to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, celebrating the spiritual essence and timeless beauty of Indian culture through the graceful medium of Odissi.
Guru Nivedita Mukherjee is among Mumbai’s senior-most Odissi dancers and teachers. Having trained numerous dance aspirants over the years, she has earned acclaim for her performances at prestigious festivals across India and abroad. Her contributions to the promotion and preservation of Odissi have been widely appreciated in the cultural fraternity.
Founded by Mrs. Amita Banerjee, Udayan has emerged as one of Mumbai’s foremost organisations dedicated to the promotion of classical and performing arts. The organisation has consistently provided a platform for deserving artists across various disciplines while fostering meaningful interaction between performers and art enthusiasts.
Udayan is presently led by Mrs. Phoola Kaul as President, with noted santoor maestro and chartered accountant Snehal Mazoomdar serving as Vice-President.
