Malayalam Actor Santosh K Nair Passes Away at 65

Kerala / Mumbai: Veteran Malayalam film actor Santosh K. Nair passed away at the age of 65 following a tragic road accident in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 6:30 am when the car in which Santosh was travelling along with his friend Rajalakshmi collided with a van. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Adoor, where he reportedly suffered a heart attack and breathed his last. Rajalakshmi sustained injuries in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment.

Santosh K. Nair was a familiar face in Malayalam cinema and television, having acted in more than 100 films and serials over a career spanning decades. He made his acting debut in 1982 with the film Ithu Njangalude Katha and went on to portray a wide range of roles as a hero, supporting actor, and villain.

He was part of several notable films including Runway, Karyasthan, The Tiger, Chandrolsavam, and Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal. His recent film Mohiniyattam was well received in theatres. Known for his strong screen presence and distinctive voice, he also remained active in television serials.

Though he had taken a brief hiatus from films after 2014, Santosh had recently returned to acting, reconnecting with audiences through his performances.

The untimely demise of Santosh K. Nair has left the Malayalam film fraternity and his fans in deep shock. Condolences have been pouring in from colleagues and admirers across the industry.
