Mumbai, October 17: The Malayalam Language Promotion Association will observe October 18 as Membership Day, with enrolment drives scheduled across its 10 regions, spanning from Colaba to Boisar and Badlapur.

As part of the initiative, special teams will conduct house-to-house visits from Sunday morning to enrol Malayalis aged 18 and above as members of the organisation. The campaign also aims to connect with Malayali families, enquire about their well-being, strengthen community bonds and create greater awareness about the activities of the Association.

The initiative highlights the importance of preserving the Malayalam language and cultural heritage among Malayalis living away from their homeland. Despite the demands of expatriate life, the Association continues to encourage collective efforts to safeguard the mother tongue and traditions for future generations.

The Association has appealed to all language enthusiasts and members of the Malayali community to actively participate in the membership drive and extend their cooperation to make the initiative a success.
