Kalakshetram is set to present “Bhavamritham”, a classical dance evening, on Saturday, April 25, at Holy Angels School, Dombivli East. The programme will commence at 6.30 pm.

The event will showcase a rich blend of Indian classical dance forms including Mohiniyattam, Bharatanatyam and Kathak. Notably, Kathak will be presented for the first time at a Kalakshetram programme.

Renowned Kathak exponent Parvathy Dutta, Director of Mahagami Arts Research Foundation, Aurangabad, will lead the Kathak performance. A widely travelled artist, she has conducted training programmes in over 40 countries. Her students will also join her for the presentation.

Bharatanatyam performances will be presented by the students of Sampada, a dance teacher associated with Kalakshetram. Mohiniyattam will also be featured as part of the evening’s repertoire.

In addition, a Kathak workshop will be conducted earlier in the day at 1 pm.
