NATYANJALI 2026: Classical Dance Festival Begins in Mumbai on February 4

The 22nd edition of Natyanjali – Natyotsav & Nataraja Aradhanai is set to unfold in Mumbai from February 4 to 14, 2026, at the Sri Subramania Samaj Temple Complex, Cheddanagar, Chembur, with a special Maha Sivaratri Natyanjali on February 15. The festival is being organized by Shanmukhapriya as a devotional offering to Lord Nataraja.

This ten-day classical dance festival will showcase performances in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Mohiniyattam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri and other styles, presented by eminent gurus, accomplished dancers, and promising students from Mumbai, different parts of India, and abroad.

The festival will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice K. R. Shriram (Retd.), followed by a special opening presentation by the faculty and students of Shanmukhapriya Music & Dance Academy. Each evening promises an immersive experience blending devotion, discipline, and artistic excellence.

The grand finale on Maha Sivaratri will feature Natyanjali by gurus and teachers of various classical traditions, offering a spiritually uplifting experience to devotees and art lovers. Natyanjali 2026 once again reinforces Mumbai’s standing as a vibrant centre for Indian classical arts and reflects the cultural vibrancy nurtured by the South Indian and Malayali community in the city.
