Nritya Tarangini Utsav at Mira Road

Saraswati Kala Kendra and Research Centre, Mira Road, is organising the two-day Nritya Tarangini Utsav on January 31 and February 1 at the prestigious Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium”,”Mira Road Mumbai. Conceived and curated by Guru Vijay Shanker, the annual dance festival brings together young dance aspirants and acclaimed professionals on a common platform.

The festival features solo, duet and group performances in classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Kerala Nadanam and Sattriya. Folk dances, along with western and contemporary styles, are also included this year, expanding the artistic canvas and encouraging wider participation among children and youth.

Natya Saraswati Guru Subitha Murali, Director of Saraswati Kala Kendra, says the festival receives enthusiastic participation from dancers across India and abroad and serves as a valuable platform for emerging talent. Performances by noted professionals inspire young artistes, while competitions judged by experts add a competitive edge. All participants are awarded certificates, making the experience encouraging and memorable.

The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Department of Culture, Government of Maharashtra, and features performances by leading artistes including Monojit Saha, Kiran Khade, Srusti Joshi, Shreya Joshi, Varanya Sinha, Anuradha Roy, Meenakshi Acharya, Garima Sharma, Krityea N. Rana and others.
