The Shilar Ayyappa Temple (Near Karjat) will celebrate its Second Year Shudhi Kalasapooja and Maholsavam from December 26 to 28, 2025, with a series of sacred rituals and cultural programmes.
The festivities will include traditional poojas, homams and the grand Ulsava Khoshayathra with Thalapoli and Chendamelam. A special highlight of the celebrations will be the Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam dance performances by students of Upaasana Academy of Fine Arts, Chembur, presented under the guidance of Guru Smt. Jayashree Nair on Saturday December 27 from 7 pm onwards, adding artistic grace and cultural depth to the Maholsavam.
The concluding day will feature Brahmakalasabhishekam for Lord Ayyappa, followed by Namasankeerthanam and Mahaprasadam.
The rituals will be led by Temple Thanthris Shri Rajesh Namboothiri and Shri Sudheesh Namboothiri, along with Temple Shilpi Shri Sunil Babu and Priest Shri Arun Namboothiri.
