Guruvayur Devaswom Inaugurates ‘Sree Krishna Rest House’ – an affordable Stay facility now Open for Devotees

The Guruvayur Devaswom has opened a newly renovated and upgraded lodging facility for devotees visiting the temple — the ‘Sree Krishna Rest House’, located on the western side of the temple premises. The accommodation has been designed to offer comfortable and affordable stay options for pilgrims.

Originally built as a memorial dedicated to Kururamma and earlier intended as a shelter for mothers, the building has now been completely modernized with state-of-the-art amenities and given a fresh new look.

The three-storey building spans 10,600 sq. ft. Modern amenities for a pleasant stay and includes 25 double rooms
(Non-AC: ₹900, AC: ₹1500 ) and Dormitory facility (₹3000 per person).

The renovation, completed at a cost of ₹2.5 crore, aims to provide devotees with clean and comfortable accommodation at budget-friendly rates.

Special Benefit for Devotees

Devaswom Chairman V.K. Vijayan stated that pilgrims who book rooms at the Sree Krishna Rest House will also receive the opportunity to partake in the temple’s prasada oottu (sacred meal). Coupons for the same will be issued along with the room booking.

The newly upgraded rest house was formally inaugurated on Friday by Devaswom Chairman V.K. Vijayan.
