A petition has reportedly been submitted by senior bureaucrat B. Ashok IAS to the Kerala Government questioning the appointment of K. Jayakumar IAS as President of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB).
The complaint alleges that Jayakumar’s appointment may violate service norms, as he is said to be holding another post within the Kerala Government. The petition seeks clarification and possible disqualification on these grounds.
The State Government recently appointed Jayakumar as TDB President for a two-year term. His selection, intended to bring experienced administrative leadership to the Board, has now come under scrutiny following the complaint.
The Government has not yet issued an official response. Further action will depend on the administrative review of the petition.
