Kallara Sarasamma Nair, mother-in-law of Bombay Keraleeya Samajam President Dr. S. Rajasekaran Nair (MD, Janam TV; MD, Udaya Samudra Group of Hotels & Resorts), passed away. She was 83.

Sarasamma Nair was an early Congress leader and a respected social figure in her community. She is the mother of renowned film stars Radha and Ambika.

The funeral will be held at her residence in Kallara, Thiruvananthapuram, at 3 pm on Saturday.

The Malayalee community and well-wishers expressed deep condolences on her passing.
