An evening filled with nostalgia, music, and heartfelt performances unfolded at Vasai St. Alphonsa Church, where senior citizens came together for a vibrant Love Gathering organized by a parish-based senior citizens’ association formed three years ago.
The event showcased the boundless spirit of the elderly, as participants presented dance, songs, stories, and art performances that captivated and delighted the audience. Their energetic and expressive performances proved that passion and joy truly transcend age.
A special highlight of the programme was the honouring of 12 senior citizens above the age of 80, acknowledging their wisdom, contributions, and presence in the community.
The gathering was inaugurated by Vicar Fr. Bobby Mulakkampilly, who commended the initiative and encouraged continued engagement for the well-being of the elderly.
Organization President Jose Varghese delivered the keynote address, highlighting the mission and activities of the group and expressing gratitude to the participants and supporters.
The event concluded with warm interactions, shared memories, and a message of togetherness—celebrating life, love, and the unbroken spirit of the elderly community.
