The Vapi NSS Malayalam Mission organized the Entrance Festival for its Gunjan, Chala and Chanod study centres at KBS College, Chanod, marking the beginning of the new academic year with traditional fervour and enthusiasm.
The function was presided over by NSS President Venu G. Nair and inaugurated by C. V. Narayanan , Convener of the Gujarat Chapter of Malayalam Mission. The programme was attended by students, parents, teachers and Malayalam Mission volunteers.
Addressing the gathering were Chapter Secretary Shaji Antony, Regional Coordinator Mini Joy Thomas, Girish Menon, Smitha S. Nair and NSS Joint Secretary Mukesh Nair, who highlighted the importance of preserving the Malayalam language and cultural heritage among the younger generation.
During the event, Malayalam Mission teachers were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated service. Students with excellent attendance were honoured with prizes, while newly admitted students received study materials. The programme also featured a variety of cultural performances presented by the students.
Around 140 participants, including parents, students, teachers and Malayalam Mission volunteers, attended the function. Preethi Nair delivered the welcome address, and Raman Nair proposed the vote of thanks.
The Entrance Festival reflected the Malayalam Mission’s continued commitment to promoting Malayalam language education and nurturing cultural values among children in Gujarat.
