Malayalam Mission Teacher Saraswathi Chandran Passes Away

Saraswathi Chandran (53), daughter of the late Kunjambu Vaidyar and Madhavi, passed away. A native of Kambil Thirumangalam in Kannur, she was residing at Shraddha Paramount, Tagore Nagar, Vikhroli.

A dedicated social worker, Saraswathi Chandran actively served in the women’s wing of the local Malayali Samajam and was a committed teacher with Malayalam Mission, where she played a significant role in promoting the Malayalam language among the younger generation.

She is survived by her husband, P. P. Chandran, daughter Theertha Chandran, and son-in-law Aneeth.

Her mortal remains will be kept for public homage at her residence in Tagore Nagar, Vikhroli, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, following which the body will be taken to her native place in Kannur for the final rites.
