Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan Begins in Mumbai

The prestigious 67th Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan, organised by Sur Singar Samsad, will commence on May 18th at the Nanavati College Auditorium, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. The three-day festival will feature renowned exponents of Indian classical dance forms from across the country.

Among the prominent artistes performing at the festival are veteran Odissi dancer and mentor Nivedita Mukherjee along with her disciples, noted Kathak exponent Pt. Gopi Krishna’s ardent disciple Vaibhav Joshi, Bharatanatyam artiste Pavitra Bhat, celebrated Odissi mentor Dr. Guru Gajendra Panda, Sattriya dancer Khirud Bhuyan, Kathak performers Anjana Jha, Surashree Bhattacharya and Ruchi Sharma, besides Kuchipudi exponent Guru Radha Mohan with disciples.

Sur Singar Samsad Secretary M.K. Patel stated that the support extended by the Ministry of Culture and eminent personalities has helped the organisation continue presenting a festival of such stature despite limited corporate backing.
