The reconstruction of the Mulund Bhakta Sangham Sree Krishna Temple on P.K. Road, Mulund West has been completed, marking a historic milestone in the temple’s four-decade journey. The renovated temple will be formally consecrated through the Navakiran Mahakumbhabhishekam and Pratishtha Mahotsavam, scheduled from July 6 to 24.
The temple traces its origins to 1973, when a group of devotees in Mulund came together with the vision of establishing a temple and a centre for spiritual and cultural activities. Their efforts culminated in 1986 with the construction of a temple dedicated to Sree Guruvayoorappan, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganapathy and Devi Parashakti, along with a community hall.
After nearly 40 years, the temple has undergone a comprehensive renovation made possible through the generous support and contributions of devotees. The newly reconstructed temple is now ready to welcome worshippers.
With the blessings of Jagadguru Poojya Shri Acharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and Sringeri Sharada Peetham, the idols of Sree Guruvayoorappan, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Ganapathy, Devi Parashakti, and Sree Subrahmanya Swamy (Murugan) will be ceremonially reinstalled in the newly renovated temple complex after being shifted from the temporary Balalaya.
The consecration rituals and installation ceremonies will be conducted from July 6 to 18 in accordance with traditional Vedic practices under the guidance of Brahmasri Perinthiri Chennas Mana Eramangalam P.C. Sankaranarayanan Namboothiripad.

Following the Pratishtha ceremonies, Yajurveda Laksharchana will be held from July 19 to 24, with daily sessions from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m., under the leadership of Yajnacharya Vaidika Shreshtha Brahmasri Kodakara Kaimukku Sreedharan Namboothiri and other eminent Vedic scholars.
On the concluding day, July 24, Laksharchana will be performed from 6.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., followed by Neyyabhishekam and Deeparadhana.
Throughout the festival period from July 6 to 18, special morning and evening poojas along with prasadam distribution will be conducted daily. Mahaprasadam (Annadanam) will be served on July 15 and again on July 18.
The temple committee has extended a cordial invitation to all devotees to participate in the Navakiran Mahakumbhabhishekam and Pratishtha Mahotsavam, and to seek the blessings of the deities during this auspicious occasion.
