Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, noted author, leadership strategist, and renowned scholar of Kautilya’s Arthashastra, passed away last night in Mangalore. He was widely known for his bestselling works including Inside Chanakya’s Mind, Chatur Chanakya, and The Himalayan Problem. A respected academician, he also served as the Deputy Director of the Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies (CIILS), University of Mumbai.
Dr. Pillai had extensively researched ancient Indian political and management wisdom and held a Master’s degree in Sanskrit. Through his writings and lectures, he inspired thousands of students, professionals, and readers across the country with the timeless teachings of Chanakya.
His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Mumbai tomorrow. The cremation and final rites will be held later, details of which are awaited. The passing of Dr. Pillai marks a great loss to the literary, academic, and leadership communities.
