The Malayali theatre fraternity in Mumbai is in deep mourning following the passing of noted stage artist Sri Ramakrishna Kaimal, who left an indelible mark on the city’s Malayalam theatre scene. He had been ailing for some time and passed away a short while ago, leaving behind a legacy of powerful performances and cherished memories.

A vibrant and respected presence on the Mumbai stage, Kaimal was closely associated with renowned theatre groups such as Sarathi Theatres and Vilappil Vision. He was widely admired for his compelling portrayals of strong and nuanced characters, particularly in historical dramas, which made his performances unforgettable for theatre lovers across generations.

Sri Ramakrishna Kaimal resided at D6-9, Radhanagar Tower, 4th Floor, Flat No. 19, near Aayush Hospital, Khadakpada, Kalyan West.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
