Malayali Premier League Season-1 to be held in Dombivli on April 18th and 19th

The first-ever state-level cricket tournament for expatriate Malayalis in Maharashtra, the Malayali Premier League (MPL) Season-1, will be held on April 18th and 19th at the Casa Rio Cricket Ground, Palava City, Dombivli East. The tournament is being organized by the World Malayali Federation (WMF), Maharashtra State Committee.

Sixteen teams representing various parts of the state will participate in the two-day tournament. Maharashtra State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik will inaugurate the event.

Former State Cabinet Minister and MLA Ravindra Chavan will attend as the Chief Guest. International cricketer Sudheesh Nair and MLA Rajesh More will be present as Special Guests. Corporators from KDMC and TMC, along with office bearers of various Malayali organizations, are also expected to attend.

As part of the event, office bearers of Malayali organizations across Maharashtra will be honored. Those wishing to participate in the felicitation function have been requested to register in advance with the organizers.

The matches will begin at 8.00 am on April 18th and conclude by 8.00 pm on April 19th. Organizers have invited the Malayali community to attend and support the historic tournament.
