Shashi Kumar Nair was honoured with the Citizens Excellence Award – 2026 by the Thane Citizens Welfare Group in recognition of his contributions and commitment to society.
The award was presented by TMC Corporator Mukesh Mokashi and Sneha Ambre at a function held in Thane. The occasion turned even more memorable with the presence of Nair’s school batchmates from the 1977 batch, adding a nostalgic and emotional touch to the ceremony.
Among those present were Sasidharan (Australia), Sudha (Thane), and Usha (Thane), who extended their support throughout the event. The gathering also included Soman, Nitin Nandurkar, Ramesh Gopalan, and Ravi Menon, making it a warm and well-attended occasion.
Expressing his gratitude, Shashi Kumar Nair thanked the organisers and all those who have supported and encouraged him over the years. He remarked that the recognition is a shared achievement and credited his well-wishers for their constant motivation.
He also conveyed special appreciation to Aadish for initiating and organising the award programme.
