Jayashree Nair to be Honoured with FAS Stree Ratna Award 2026

Renowned Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher Jayashree Nair has been selected for the prestigious FAS Stree Ratna Award 2026, presented by the Fine Arts Society (FAS), Mumbai, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the field of classical dance and arts education.

The award forms part of the Society’s International Women’s Day celebrations, during which distinguished women achievers from various fields are honoured for their accomplishments, service and inspiring journeys. The awardees were selected by an eminent three-member jury after carefully evaluating the achievements, service and impact of several deserving candidates.

Jayashree Nair, who has been associated with the field of Bharatanatyam for several decades, has trained and inspired numerous students while actively promoting classical dance and cultural values.

The FAS Stree Ratna Awards 2026 will be presented during the Women’s Day celebration programme to be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 5.30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Society premises, Chembur, Mumbai.
