Like in previous years, Kerala Kala Samithi, Goregaon celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm at the Vasant Galaxy Clubhouse on March 14, 2026.
The programme was marked by vibrant cultural activities including songs, traditional dances and a colourful fashion show, adding charm and energy to the celebration. Women from different cultures and states participated in the event, sharing inspiring stories of their achievements and journeys.
Mrs. Sreekala Pillai, Sitting Corporator, attended the function as the Chief Guest and appreciated the organisers for recognising women achievers from various fields.
On the occasion, six accomplished women were felicitated for their notable contributions in their respective fields: Smt. Prasanna Warrier (Carnatic classical music teacher), Smt. Deepa Santosh (renowned dance teacher and founder of a dance academy), Smt. Snehal Behl (swimming champion with several national and international awards),
Smt. Sonali Dalvi (Cyber Police officer working to spread awareness on cybercrime), Smt. Parul Bhatnagar (voice-over artist known for voicing several popular cartoon characters) and Smt. Neetu Somani (a homemaker turned entrepreneur who proudly calls herself a “Mompreneur”).
The colourful programme was well received and appreciated by all those who attended.
