St. Petersburg: Seagull International Group, a globally respected name in ethical international recruitment and workforce mobility solutions, marked a significant milestone in its 40-year journey with the grand inauguration of its Russia branch in St. Petersburg.

The new office of Seagull International (Russia) was formally inaugurated by Mr. D. C. D. Dass, IFS, Consul General of India in St. Petersburg. Ms. Daria Chekmarova, Second Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudhanan, Chairman & Managing Director, Seagull International Group, along with Captain Ashish Baluni and Mr. Dmitry Titov, Directors of Seagull International (Russia), were present at the ceremony, along with distinguished guests, partners and members of the business community.
The inauguration reflected a beautiful blend of Indian and Russian traditions. The event began with a traditional Indian welcome, including Tilak, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, ribbon cutting and coconut breaking for auspicious beginnings. This was followed by a traditional Russian Furshet reception with bread and salt, symbolizing friendship and shared responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudhanan said that the Russia branch marks a strategic step in strengthening India–Russia cooperation in workforce mobility, skilling and ethical recruitment. He highlighted growing opportunities in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, shipbuilding, construction and services.
The inauguration has also received attention in Russian regional media, reflecting increasing interest in structured India–Russia workforce collaboration.
