Care 4 Mumbai, a voluntary organization led by Malayalis in Mumbai, has been invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of the first phase of the Wayanad Model Township, a rehabilitation housing project being implemented by the Government of Kerala.
The township is being built as part of the government’s rehabilitation initiative for families affected by landslides and other natural calamities in the hilly regions Mundakkai and Chooralmala of Wayanad District, Kerala during last year. Care 4 Mumbai has extended significant support to this project, and an amount of Rs. 80 lakh has been handed over to the Chief Minister of Kerala towards the construction of 4 houses.
Care 4 Mumbai President M. K. Navas and Secretary Priya M. Varghese said that the organization considers this a worthy cause and expressed their gratitude to the institutions, individuals and organizations who have supported the initiative and contributed to its successful progress.
The participation of Care 4 Mumbai in the inauguration ceremony stands as a recognition of the collective efforts of the Mumbai Malayali community in supporting Kerala’s rehabilitation and welfare projects.
