Dahisar Malayali Samajam organised ‘Swadum Swaravum’, a colourful festival of taste, under the leadership of its Women’s Section, celebrating the flavours and cultural spirit of Kerala.

The event featured a wide variety of homemade delicacies including vada, uzhunnu vada, ilayada, pazhampori, appam, idiyappam, cutlets, chicken curry and veg kuruma, drawing a large number of visitors. Several stalls displaying Kerala sarees, mundu sets, spices and kitchen items ayurvedic hair oil, jewellery and a special stall featuring beads made by differently-abled people also added to the festive atmosphere.

The younger generation efficiently managed the stalls, while the programme concluded with an engaging performance by the Borivli Pattupetti group, presenting old film and drama songs, making ‘Swadum Swaravum’ a memorable community event.
