Global football icon Lionel Messi is arriving in Mumbai today, creating excitement among sports lovers. Pillai University, Panvel, led by educationist Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai, is one of the key sponsors of Messi’s visit, giving the Malayali community in Mumbai a moment of pride.
The association highlights Pillai University’s commitment to promoting sports alongside academics and its status as the first private university in Navi Mumbai. Students of the Pillai Group are participating as volunteers, while hundreds are attending Messi’s exhibition football match at the Wankhede Stadium. The Pillai Group currently runs 48 institutions with over 30,000 students and is the only institution in Southeast Asia to offer FIFA’s Executive Management Programme.
