A solo painting exhibition by Kannur native and artist Sajila Peralassery will open tomorrow at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and will be on view until December 21. Titled “Beyond Stillness”, the exhibition features 48 paintings that explore themes of introspection, emotion and visual silence.
The exhibition will be inaugurated at 11.45 am by Dr. Roy John Mathew, President of the World Malayali Federation – Maharashtra Council and the Managing Director of the CHAMS Group. Cultural activists Surendrababu, Priya Varghese and James Manalodi will attend the inauguration as special guests.
Sajila, who hails from Peralassery near Thalassery, Kannur, is an art teacher at Kuthubbiya School, Panur. She has previously participated in art exhibitions and camps in Kerala, Bengaluru and Chennai. This marks her first art exhibition in Mumbai.
