Renowned instrumentalist Kalashri K.N.P. Nambeesan has been honoured with the prestigious Vadyakala Shiromani Puraskar for his lifetime contribution to the field of musical arts. The award recognises his decades-long dedication to Indian music and his exceptional expertise in instrumental performance.

The honour was presented at a special function organized by the All India Artists Association, Shimla, and the Anjali Bharatanatyam Research Trust. The ceremony was held at the Mysore Association Hall, Matunga, under the leadership of acclaimed dancer and choreographer Latha Surendra.

The award, comprising a gold medal, a plaque, and a certificate, was handed over by Dr. Rekha Gaur to Nambeesan.

Art enthusiasts, cultural leaders, and representatives from various arts organizations attended the event, celebrating Nambeesan’s outstanding musical journey and his enduring contribution to India’s performing arts tradition.
