The Mumbai–Calicut Welfare Association (MCWA) announced a grant of ₹5 lakh to promote literary and cultural activities in Kozhikode, known as the literary capital of Kerala. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Mumbai.
The meeting was inaugurated by Samiti Chairman Atta Koya Pallikandi and presided over by Association President P. M. Mahmood Haji. Members appreciated the efforts of the NORKA Department in promoting the Malayalam language and culture.
P. M. Saitumahammad, Rajesh Mattathil, P. P. Koya, K. Muhammed Koya, and P. V. Koyamon spoke on the occasion, expressing support for initiatives that strengthen Kerala’s cultural and literary heritage.
