MALAYALOTSAVAM (Malayalam Festival ) Central Arts Festival on December 14

The Central Arts Festival of the Malavalam Festival (Malayalotsavam), organized by the Malayala Bhasha Pracharana Sangham (Mumbai Malayalam Language Promotion Association), will be held on Sunday, December 14, from 9:00 AM onward at Adarsha Vidyalaya, Chembur.

This year’s Central Arts Festival will witness vibrant participation, with over a thousand contestants representing 10 regions from Colaba to Palghar and Khopoli, competing across 23 categories of language, literary, and performing arts.

A special highlight of this year’s festival is the inclusive platform created for differently-abled participants. To encourage and celebrate their artistic talents, they will be given the opportunity to participate directly at the central level, without needing to compete in regional rounds. They may compete based on age groups in categories such as: Simple Songs, Film Songs, Drama Songs,Poetry Recitation and Mappila Songs.

In the general categories, contestants who secured first and second places in their respective regional arts festivals will participate in the central-level competitions.
